Word Scrapes and wordscrapes.com are operated by Things People Love, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains our collection, use, sharing, and retention of personal information for the game, this website, and related player support.

Information we collect
- Account information: when you sign in, information supplied by your sign-in provider, such as an account identifier, email address, and available profile details. Apple may supply a private relay email address.
- Game data: progress, completed levels, scores, rewards, settings, currency and inventory balances, and activity needed to operate the game and connected features.
- Purchases: transaction references, product identifiers, subscription and entitlement status, and purchase or restoration results. Apple, Google, and their payment providers handle payment details; we do not receive your full payment card number for app-store purchases.
- Device and usage information: device and operating-system details, app version, session and feature activity, diagnostic information, crash reports, and technical identifiers. Advertising identifiers and ad or rewarded-ad interactions may be processed where ads are available, subject to applicable consent and platform choices.
- Website information: technical requests such as IP address and browser information needed to deliver the website. If you accept optional website analytics, Google Analytics also measures page visits and interactions.
- Information you send us: support messages, feedback, bug reports, and information needed to handle privacy requests.
Guest play can keep progress on your device without a signed-in cloud account. Playing as a guest does not necessarily prevent technical, purchase, advertising, or diagnostic services from processing information when those services are enabled.
How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain Word Scrapes; save and synchronize progress; verify purchases and restore entitlements; process rewards; respond to support and privacy requests; diagnose crashes; improve performance and the player experience; prevent cheating, abuse, and fraud; and meet legal obligations.
If you separately subscribe to updates, we use your contact details to send those updates. You can unsubscribe through the message or contact us. A deletion request does not subscribe you to marketing.
Retention and account deletion
We retain personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, considering the type of data, your relationship with us, legal requirements, and security or dispute needs.
A completed account deletion removes your game account and associated profile, cloud progress, account-linked settings, balances, inventory, and game-access records, subject to limited exceptions. Account-linked data held by service providers is included in the deletion process.
Limited transaction, fraud-prevention, security, or privacy-request records may need to be retained to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent duplicate purchase claims. These exceptions do not justify keeping your entire game profile. Backup copies may persist until their applicable expiry cycle.
When handling your request, we will explain the expected completion time, any retained information and applicable retention period, and any relevant backup limitations. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; and opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising. Where applicable, you may appeal a decision about a privacy request by replying to our response or contacting us.
Email privacy@thingspeople.love to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, full payment details, or identity documents with your initial request.
You may unsubscribe from marketing, manage optional website analytics, and use available in-game and device privacy settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully carried out.
California residents
To the extent California privacy law applies, the categories described above include identifiers, commercial information, internet or electronic activity, and game and device information. Sources include you, your device, sign-in providers, app stores, and service providers. Purposes and recipient categories are described above. You may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain uses of sensitive information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
International processing
We operate in the United States, and information may be processed there or in other countries where our providers operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, transfers are subject to appropriate legal safeguards.
Where UK or European Economic Area data-protection law applies, our bases for processing include performing our contract with you to provide the game, meeting legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing our services and improving reliability, and consent where required, including for optional website analytics. You may contact us about these bases or transfer safeguards and may complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children's privacy
Word Scrapes and this website are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through these services. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact privacy@thingspeople.love so we can investigate and take appropriate steps to delete it.
Security and other websites
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Links to app stores, support resources, community platforms, or other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or obligations change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate. Where required, we will request consent rather than treating continued use as consent.
